When it was created
It was founded in 1982 by the Franciscan Congregation to expose the history of Brother Pedro in Guatemala and the congregation since colonial times.
Historical highlights
The museum has original articles of Saint Brother Pedro, such as his cane, his hat, his cloak and vestments, as well as elements of the congregation such as a 17th century altarpiece.

Its exhibits include the belongings of Saint Brother Pedro, a collection of paintings, pieces of Mayan pottery, religious images and ancient documents.
Curious facts
Inside the museum there is the little bell of Saint Brother Pedro, which he used to call the souls to redemption on Monday nights. In addition, there are the coffers where the remains of the saint were kept from 1817 to 1990.
